Title: Crazy accusations
Post by: Smileypants on March 11, 2015, 05:42:04 PM
My BPD husband's latest accusation came at dinner last night.  I served everyone's food & drinks.  Usually he''ll give me a hard time if I serve up everyone except him.  Last night I served his dinner up for him.  He ate a bite of his food then took a drink of his milk, smelled it. His son said, "what? Does it taste like soap?"  My husband says "no it tastes like it is poisoned."  Then stormed of refusing to touch it.  Since I made the food and poured his drink, I went ahead and had his.  it wasn't poisoned.  It was shocking to me that he would accuse me of that!

The next most ridiculous accusation was about a year ago, when he told me that I had gained 10 lbs a week since we got married.  Now I am not skinny, but if I had gained 10 lbs a week since our wedding I would have weighed over 1550 lbs.  Truth- I have gained about 15-20 lbs since our wedding.

It just goes to show how out of whack his perception really is.

Anybody else have any wild/shocking accusations by their BPD?

Yup mine thought the vitamin D and B12 his doctor told him to take daily was poison when i placed it by his dinner plate for the 100th time. Usually no biggie then suddenly one day he tells me he thinks its poison and I am trying to kill him. Strange

It makes me feel better knowing I'm not the only one that is accused of things so off the wall as poisoning.  I am now reminded of him telling me that he thought his ex tried to poison him in his sleep.  His ex is not too mentally sound (depression, suicide attempts, drugs, alcohol, compulsive liar), but she probably didn't try to poison him.
