Title: Can't get over breakup with BPD
Post by: Timkenney on March 14, 2015, 04:38:58 PM
Ouch! Had no idea this breakup would be this hard. We parted and recovered so many times, and she would always apologize for her rages, violence, breaking things etc.

I found this site and was shocked to see the truths in the intro.

Hi Timkenney,

I would like to join Kasina and welcome you.

I am sorry that you are going through this.  I can imagine how hard and painful this must be for you.     The aftermath of a relationship with a person with BPD (pwBPD) is really hard.  The periods of idealization from a pwBPD are so intense and special and almost addictive.  There are many members here going through similar situations.

Sharing your story really helps with coping with the hurt. Perhaps you could share more of your story so we can help you better?

Hey Timkenney, What makes you think your former SO has BPD?  What led to your b/u?  One thing that surprises me is that, in the past, your SO would apologize for her rages and tirades.  This is different from the norm, I suggest, because most pwBPD refused to take responsibility for their violent tendencies.  LuckyJim

Hi Timkenney,

*welcome*

Kasina and members understand what you are going through.

EagelsJuju is correct the aftermath of break-up with a pwBPD is really hard.

LuckyJim has a good question is she diagnosed?

Often our experiences are painful, confusing.

It helps to talk.
