Title: A birthday gift Post by: Heldfast on March 28, 2015, 04:02:32 PM I had intended to buy her a nicer version of it, but five months out, almost all NC, and I sent her a gift for her upcoming birthday even though she just ignored mine. She is studying for a phd in literature, and I thought long and hard about what I'd have gotten if she was mine. For those who know the story, you'll get it. It was a 1950s copy of The Velveteen Rabbit. I think she will get it. I doubt it will give her a breakthrough, but maybe, just a little, she'll break.
