Title: Is it possible to have paranoid anxiety
Post by: Johnsok on April 15, 2015, 05:45:47 PM
So since I have endured so much from my relationship relating to lies and infidelity I almost feel like I'm going thru BPD myself. I over analyze everything and constantly think he's doing something with someone from work or whatever. It's absolutely insane to me and my anxiety is overboard, I know me being pregnant is escalating it but I'm going crazy I feel and I can completely realize I may be irrational but given him having infidelities at work before it's like I can't even get over that. Do BPDs realize they are irrational... . This whole post even sounds crazy

Hi Johnsok,

I am sorry that you are feeling this way.    It is understandable to question yourself and overanalyze things after enduring so much from your relationship.

I have felt like I had BPD for a little bit. I started engaging in some BPD behaviors myself. Sometimes being surrounded by BPD for such a long time, we can pick up some of the behaviors. It is what is referred to as  my-issues.  I started working on myself and those behaviors quickly dissipated. Many people here have had similar experiences.

It is understandable to have anxiety and worry about his prior infidelities and think he may currently be engaging in that type of behavior. Infidelity can be a huge breach of trust. It is normal to feel insecure, unsure, or untrusting. These are not irrational feelings.

Have you both discussed his infidelity before?
