Title: Happy Mother's Day
Post by: dagwoodbowser on May 10, 2015, 04:29:11 PM
I know that days like today bring on mixed emotions and blessings. Some of us have lost a loving Mother or a significant other/partner due to BPD and this day at one time held a special moment in time. To those of you who are Moms you are truly blessed to have an opportunity to craddle, love, nurture and help your child or children become valued, loved, and appreciated. Hope today is a day that brings happiness and joy.

Happy Mother's Day!

Thanks Dagwood! Mother's day is a day to celebrate 2 very psychologically stable and healthy daughters. I may not have success in dating but I have great kids. That is by far more important. Thankfully my broken picker wasn't carried forward with my girls!  That's something to celebrate, for sure.

I should have mentioned what I did today... .

My son and I picked up the keys to our new place, moved many boxes in, negotiated which bedroom we wanted, and enjoyed the thought of having our own place... .and a future we are in charge of.

He opted for the bigger room... .  We negotiated closet space to make up for my loss in square footage, giving up the master bedroom.  I ended up with the room with the view... .and sliding glass doors that lead to the balcony. :)

I was so busy taping up boxes... .  I forgot to stop and reflect what a meaningful day it was.

Thank you!

What! You let him off easy... .especially on Mom's Day. You should have at least challenged him to a 2 out of 3 Thumb War for the bigger room.
