Title: The pattern: overreaction, silent treatment, indifferent approach, regret, love Post by: SybilVane on June 17, 2015, 12:58:21 PM I realized a exact pattern of hoy my BPDbf uses to act and react.
It's always something stupid that increases to a bigger proportion and makes him ironic and start do devalue me (among a lot of accusations and insults, declarations of hate, declarations as 'I swear in front of my mother that I never want to see you anymore", start to accuse me of manipulating the situation. Then, he blocks me and disappear for a while; I use to wait before writing him an email and he answers in a friendly way telling 'i love you, but there's no future, be happy' When I finally say 'ok, goodbye", he returns and apologize for his 'overreactions that happen only because I love you so much" As I could see in this forum, this is a relatively common partner among BPD's. How about your partner? There's a vicious cycle or it's totally unstable and unpredictable? There is some really good stuff there about the cycle of conflict. This lesson has some information on breaking the cycle of conflict: https://bpdfamily.com/message_board/index.php?topic=56206.msg913191#msg913191 There is a lot of good stuff in there! |
