Title: I need alittle help.
Post by: champs561 on June 25, 2015, 05:39:23 PM
I'm currently in a relationship with someone with BPD and we've been together for a year and a half now and its getting alittle bit more difficult to maintain the relationship. i was wondering if anyone else in this situation could give me advise as well as any info on any courses I can take? Any and all feedback would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

Hi Champs561,

Welcome aboard.

I am sorry that you are having trouble maintaining your relationship.    I understand how difficult it can be coping with BPD behaviors in a relationship. What specific things are you having the most difficulties with?

The motto on the Staying board, is "before you can make anything better, you must stop making it worse." The lessons on the right will help you get started on improving your relationship.

Looking forward to reading your response.  :)

Hey Champs:

Like Eagles just said the lessons on this page are all a great resource to get started. There is a really good book as well for getting started to make it better. "Loving Someone with Borderline Personality Disorder.

You've come to a good place though Champ and you keep in touch.

Welcome to the forums champs561

This is a great place to find support and feedback. The Lessons to your right ---> are a great place to start. There are also interesting books such as "Loving someone with borderline personality disorder" by  Shari Y. Manning,  "Stop walking on egg shells" by Paul T. Mason & Randi Kreger or "The high conflict couple" by Alan Fruzzetti. You might also want to read about Mindfullness, I'm following a course right know and I highly recommend it.

Keep posting :)
