Title: I Have concerns about my grandson and son who's partner has undisguised BPD
Post by: Lala2368 on June 27, 2015, 01:09:44 PM
I'm not sure if this is the right thread!

Basically my son started a relationship with his

Partner a year ago and now have an 8week old son.

During her pregnacey they had one or two rows but

It's now everyday and I've realised she probably had BPD

Since she was 13 ish . She is 19 now. She is so nasty

To my son and her mood switches from one extreme to the other

She now sees me as the enemy because I ve said I think she needs help

Mentally and help with my Grandson as she is becoming

A bit if a worry to myself and son as to how she cares for him.

I have mucked everything up now as she has moved them

All out so I can't keep an eye on things

Hi Lala2368

It's ok, you're posting on the right board!

I can understand your concerns for your grandson who's just 8 weeks old. What exactly worries you about the way she takes care of your grandson? What has she done or perhaps failed to do?

BPD is quite a challenging disorder and dealing with someone with BPD can be quite difficult. You believe she probably has BPD since she was 13, what makes you think so? What kind of behaviors has she been exhibiting since the age of 13 that lead you to believe she has BPD? You mention the way she treats your son and her mood swings, very unpleasant indeed. Are there also other behaviors that lead you to believe she has BPD?

I am glad you are reaching out for support here  Many of our members know what it's like to deal with people with BPD in their lives and will be able to support you and offer you advice.
