Title: What is "Magical Thinking"?
Post by: joeramabeme on June 28, 2015, 02:43:51 PM
I have read this term a few times on the board and though I have an inkling of what it means I wanted to ask if someone could provide some concrete definition.

My inkling of the term is that I attributed child-like hopes and dreams to the meaning of my marriage with my uBPDw and that this Magical Thinking kept me bonded and trudging through many bumpy years in hopes of my dream come true.

Am I on the correct train?

I'm not sure what you describe about yourself is magical thinking, per se. See here:

Turkish, that clarifies my question very well.  No, what I described about myself is not "Magical Thinking".  It may be naive, but nothing magical about that!   :)

Thank you!
