Title: Amazed at FINALLY only very recently learning about BPD Post by: BPD3 on July 07, 2015, 03:34:31 AM :light: I have never done this before in my life! I only found this website a couple of hours ago. I must say that I ONLY first found out about BPD from watching a TV show about an American NFL player who was diagnosed.
As I began to research about this condition a few days ago I was soo amazed! This explains three generations of behaviour I have witnessed in my family, but could never before figure out what was going on! I have been reading everything I could on the Brain for the past couple of years. Two books I found soo helpful were also by American authors who run clinics: 1) The Mood Cure (Excellent information) 2) Depression-Free Naturally (also Excellent) Our 18 year old son became very ill this last year of High School. It began when a girlfriend suddenly out of the blue "broke up" with him unexpectedly on the phone. He was so upset he went and locked himself in the bathroom, laid down in the bathtub and proceeded to have a panic attack. He went on over the next few months to display depression/crying, obsessive compulsive hand washing, high anxiety. I gave him the amino acids, minerals, vitamins, healthy oils, and emotional support from that moment on (September, 2014 this all began). It was soo confusing at first - I sensed that he could have gone right into an emotional nervous breakdown. After I watched the NFL life biography I realized that this NFL player was describing the very condition I had been closely observing ... . I will be carefully reading the books by Professor Dr. John Gunderson (specialist in BPD) I am typing this and I hope I am doing this right... .
