Title: Working Out Post by: workinprogress on July 18, 2015, 03:46:30 PM I am working on changing everything about myself... .
I am reading books on power, strength, and wealth. I am determined to transform my life at 48. One of the major things that I am doing is working out. I started a 5-3-1 program, designed to increase raw strength. I am jogging with my youngest kid and whatever else I can do. So, today I jogged 2 miles in 90+ degree weather. I pointed out to my kid that we saw no one else out doing this today, that puts us in an elite category! :) Earlier in the week I squated 370 pounds (personal record) and bench pressed (246 pounds). I weigh 210 pounds, from what I understand only 10% of the population can bench more than they weigh. I know that I sound like I am tooting my own horn, but I am changing things up from being a humble push over. Whatever you guys do, don't give up on yourself. Set goals for your life. Focus on what would enhance your life. These people are bullies who drain us. Be yourself and be strong! I am constantly coaching my kids on following their dreams and not listening to the naysayers. I really think it is working for them. You all can do it too! Title: Re: Working Out Post by: ElroySpace on July 19, 2015, 11:47:06 AM Amen! I'm 25 and now going to get into the best shape of my life. Haha, I hear you on the 90 degree+ weather! Same here. I'm lifting 3x a week but I find that what I can stick too now is walking on days that i'm not,it's so underrated! Plus we get some sun from it.
