Title: Our last Supper
Post by: joeramabeme on July 23, 2015, 04:07:43 PM
A little background to start.  Married 10 years, in process of divorce, 2bx moving out on Sunday.  I had a weak moment last weekend and asked if she would have dinner with me one last time to which she said; "give me an I statement".   lol  So, I said I would like to have dinner with you one last time before you leave, to which she said yes.

Now I am nervous and realize that I am hoping to say something profound that may get her to understand what has been going on etc... .

Talked with T who told me not to judge how I feel with any of her responses at dinner.  I am not sure if I should order pizza in, I think going to a restaurant would be too weird.

My fantasy is as follows:  I want to tell her about BPD and secretly hope that she will tell me she loves me (I am totally painted black, 100%).

Closer to reality I am thinking of saying something like:  we had good times and bad times and we each grew a lot during the marriage and I am really sad but glad we are able to come together one last time.  Mushy mushy crapola!

I am confused!

I really like this! It seems like a sensible and mature way to handle things. Have you had other communication since ?
