Title: Is anybody else having self-love/self-acceptance issues?
Post by: MrTardyPresent on July 26, 2015, 08:43:09 PM
Let me know below and you can add an anecdote if you want to. I don't want to talk about myself and my BPDex anymore. There's nothing left to say. I've finally came to grips with everything after 4 months. I want to help others and hear other people's stories/feelings.

I think we're all sorting through those issues if we're on this forum  lol

Yeah, what has helped me the most is daily Metta meditation directed at myself. It's Buddhist loving kindness meditation.

Hey MTP,  I think that, almost by definition, you have to have issues with self-love and acceptance in order to be in a r/s with a pwBPD.  Otherwise, why would you put up with all the rage and abuse?  Self-love is harder than it sounds, though.  My goal is to love and accept myself enough that I will never again allow myself to be the object of someone else's abuse.  My days of being treated like a doormat are over!
