Title: Gas lighting with actual observable things around the house Post by: rotiroti on July 29, 2015, 05:13:45 PM I remember when a lightbulb had went out on the porch. when I mentioned it, she was fully convinced that it was working and eventually I started believing her. I had to actually try the light again to see that I was not going crazy.
It was indeed broken, to which she would just change the topic. Has anyone dealt with gas lighting with objects around the house? Or the ex would blatantly ignore even observable facts such a lightbulb being broken? book in hindsight... . Me:Did you lock the back door? Ex: yes... . Me: (thinking) I'll go and check because I can't be sure... . of course I find it is unlocked (we are going to bed) Me: Did you remember to go out and close the boot after you brought in the last of our things? (I thought he had a bad memory, he would tell me he needed me to remind him!) Ex: Yes, of course... . Me: okay thanks Next morning as I open the blinds I discover the boot had been open all night long and it had been mostly raining... My car, only a year and a half old! Several broken things left shattered around the house which I would ask him about... .No he didn't know anything about them... . Things just disappeared mysteriously... . God help me! *new text message* "Hey, do you have X's YZs?" Didn't reply but if I did I would've reminded her that I told her to give them back to him before I left. Like what the heck? Is that gaslighting, asking for a fight or what? |
