Need a little more to go on than that. Granted, Jekyll and Hyde are a way in describing a pBPD mood swings. But some "normal" people are like that too. Tell us a little more about this r/s, the changes, your experiences. Then if you establish that it could possibly be BPD, then the short answer is not likely. The only way, and again if this is pBPD, it "gets better" is if the person actively seeks therapy. And thats years of intense therapy. Mostly, BPD's dont accept fault, are in denial, so very few get the help they need. Again, we could do with a little more to go on. Welcome. I am glad you found us. I can only tell you what my experience has been. Since I have been coming here, and educating myself, working on the tools and lessons that are on the right hand side of the screen things have gotten better. I frankly didn't think there was much hope when I first got here. It hasn't been easy. And I needed to change too. Would you like to tell us more about what is going on in your life? I live with Jekyll and Hide and at times it gets scary. Does this get better or worst is there hope? over time things have been getting worse for you and now extremes and fear rule your life. Without making significant changes it is likely to get worse. Now are you able to change things significantly? Probably yes, a lot of members here have stabilized or an now even normal situation. How much depends on your skills (to be developed), the pwBPD and whether the latter eventually goes through therapy. You are saying it gets scary - do you feel in danger (then check out the DV information here (https://bpdfamily.com/discussions/search-info4.htm))? *welcome*, a0 |
