Title: BPD husband is not telling everything to his psychologist Post by: Magnolia2 on October 13, 2015, 12:39:15 PM Hi and thank you for letting me join this group! I feel certain my husband has BPD and I'm at a loss as to what to do next. We have two very young daughters and they're beginning to be affected by this.
My husband is currently in counseling for the loss of his dad a few months ago. He is about to quit counseling because he says it's not doing anything for him. (This despite the fact that he just raged in front of one of our daughters this weekend.) The counselor has no idea of his rages or his drinking. My big question is this: How can I let his counselor know this is happening? It must be a breach of protocol for me to contact someone else's counselor, right? But he *needs* this information. Thanks for your help! Have you talked to your husband's psychologist about what the protocol is in that situation? It might be acceptable for you to talk to him. If not, then people on the board could help you come up with a strategy to deal with how your husband's behavior is affecting you.
