Title: New to Group - Daughter and Sister have BPD
Post by: Winnie64 on October 15, 2015, 10:35:16 AM
Just learning of this group - hope to find others that deal with family members with BPD.  My daughter (20) and sister have BPD, and I feel that I am the only one they have to talk to.  It wears me down and I am constantly dealing with their issues, and feel I am unable to live my own life.

Hi Winnie64 *welcome*

Thanks for introducing yourself to our online community. You've come to the right place to find others dealing with BPD family-members.

Having a family-member with BPD can be very tough and really take its toll on you. Have your daughter and sister been officially diagnosed with BPD? Are they getting help for their problems?

I am sorry you are struggling so with all of this. What would you say are the biggest issues your daughter and sister have? What behaviors of them do you find most difficult to deal with or perhaps most disturbing?

Since your daughter has BPD, I also encourage you to take a look at the board for parents with a BPD child: Parenting a Son or Daughter Suffering from BPD (https://bpdfamily.com/message_board/index.php?board=4.0)

Take care and I hope you are able to share more of your story later
