Title: Naltrexone experience with BPD spouse? Post by: Magnolia2 on October 15, 2015, 01:34:27 PM My uBPDh found a source for Naltrexone to help him quit his 20 year drinking habit. His doctor's wouldn't prescribe it to him so he found a way to get his hands on it in a determined effort to stop drinking. I'm very concerned. He also refuses to tell his counselor he's taking this for fear of being labeled an alcoholic. (He admits to being a high functioning alcoholic.)
Do you have experiences you can share about a BPD partner taking Naltrexone? (This will be the only medication he's on.) Thanks! |
