Title: Have to see my ex BPD at a conference Post by: Joe1290 on October 24, 2015, 02:06:45 PM I have to see my ex during a conference soon. We have been broken up for almost a year, with her spending the night six months ago. I'm still attached, but miles ahead of a year ago. Any advice friends?

From the leaving a partner with BPD article, being bland, boring and emotionless can signal that you won't engage. If you do run into her, being politely defferential isn't wrong. Be professional. It sounds like you still have lingering feelings or attachments here... That's where you are. There is nothing wrong with being kind, but perhaps thinking and treating her like any other professional at the conference can help. Validate yourself.
