My husband has recently been diagnosed with BPD and bipolar.  I am still trying to make sense of everything.  Heard this might be a good resource for me.

Hi Ctt149,

*welcome*

That your H has been diagnosed is a start. Take a look at the lessons to the right of the board for more info.

What's going on in your marriage, and what are your primary struggles right now? Any kids? I hope to hear more and how best we can help.

Hi Ctt149,

My husband has recently been diagnosed with BPD and bipolar.

the two are difficult to distinguish and far too often BPD is not diagnosed and chances are wasted. BPD is an emotional regulation disorder and while emotions can't be controlled directly there are many ways the pwBPD and also we can influence them making it worse or better. Without education and guidance there is often a tendency in relationships to make it worse. Turkish pointed you to the LESSONS which is a good starting point for reading.

Heard this might be a good resource for me.

Curious - from what sort of corner did you hear it?

I am still trying to make sense of everything.

Writing is a key tool for sense making as it forces one to put things down one word after the other. Posting here has the benefit that you even get feedback  :)

*welcome*,
