I'm an 43 year old daughter of a Mother with BPD traits. I cut ties with her about a year ago, just couldn't handle it anymore and wanted to protect my children as well, but I am still not sure of the right course to take. My sister recommended this site so I thought I'd take a look and maybe gain some understanding and help with the stress of it all in the process. It sounds like you did what you needed to do in order to protect you and your family. How old are your kids, and what behaviors did she exhibit that you felt that you needed to cut of contact, and do they miss grandma? Has she been trying to reconnect? I hope to hear more. *welcome* Turkish |
