Title: How do you deal with a black and white no-win situation? Post by: joeramabeme on November 03, 2015, 08:03:43 PM BPD 2BX: in process of negotiation / she is relentlessly trying to put her terms on me / all black and white/ no grey / she will continue to fight.
I see having 2 options; give up myself or keep pursuing legal means. On the give up myself side of the ledger is: 1) releasing her and the constant stirring of painful memories 2) moving on - forward 3) not placing her in situation to validate I am no-good guy On the pursue legal means side of the ledger is: 1) extended struggle - further demise of what were once happy memories 2) standing up for myself and honoring my belief 3) dignity (don't know if this means ego) How have you dealt with being put in black and white shoes? When their terms are only black and white - are we then forced to think and act with BPD styled thinking? I find myself having no other choices. There's no context with her demands. What is it that she is rigid with? Divorce is really tough and can be incredibly difficult with a pwBPD, I don't know if I would compare the good parts of the marriage, you may find that the memories are still going to be there regardless of how difficult it is to negotiate, you'll find that you'll think about your loss much less. |
