Title: took the bait
Post by: WhoMe51 on December 06, 2015, 05:16:57 PM
I answered a text today and boy was that the wrong thing to do.  I was having a low moment and my exdBPDgf texted me a simple how are you?  I debated on whether to answer her or not?  It was very civil in the beginning.  But then all H$ll broke loose.  She started telling me it was all my fault why we broke up.  She's right in a way I did break it off.  I got tired of the hatefulness, the constant blame, the lies and the cheating.  Then why on earth did I answer that text?  I think we haven't had contact in a couple of months, just in texting.  I haven't seen her in awhile.  I have left her alone.  I guess I still have that fantasy thinking that maybe something has changed.  I really have to keep working on myself.  Anyway for those of you that wish your ex would contact you, be glad they don't.  I felt like it would be different this time but it never is.  She took up right where she left off.  And there was nothing good about what she said.

I can see how we would feel regret. You said that you had fantasy thinking and things picked right up where they left off with her blaming. Do you find that answering the text helped you with letting go of the fantasy?

The BPD pattern is like a movie that is constantly on replay loop.  The patterns will never change, that is the nature of the disorder.  The existence of this forum is proof that there is no cure.
