Title: Trying to save our relationship
Post by: RiaMin on December 14, 2015, 08:39:48 PM
I've been in a relationship for two years with what I believe is someone with BPD. I've been so confused. When he's good things are great between us then there is this other side that comes out what I thought was a temper (never abusive) or being immature if minor life issues happens it's like he can't handle it and goes into a shell for hours or days. Like he can't get over things that happen that are so minor. He is a great person other then this other side he is caring. A good listener funny and loving.

Welcome to the family. Please take a look at the Lessons on the right side of the page. And keep posting more about your story. Are you married? living together? dating?

Like so many of us here, relationships with pwBPD (people with BPD) can be very wonderful, then abruptly switch to very unpleasant and lots of the time we're completely blindsided as to what happened.

Since I've been participating here, I've been able to learn how my responses to my husband have made things worse at times and how to respond to him in ways that make things better. There's a lot to learn here and we understand. Please tell us more.
