Title: She is never the same person Post by: Hopefulmom7 on December 26, 2015, 05:47:05 PM My daughter is 24 and was diagnosed at 16. She continues to be either very low, or very high, almost euphoric, sometimes in one 24 hour period. She has destroyed relationships over and over again. It is really hard to offer any help to her as she changes so quickly from being totally hopeless to "on top of the world."

I am sorry your daughter is having these problems. BPD is a difficult disorder indeed. The fact that she is diagnosed does mean that you at least know what you are dealing with, but it's still quite challenging. What led up to your daughter getting diagnosed? Is your daughter getting any kind of targeted treatment for her BPD? To help you get started here, I encourage you to take a look at the the tools and lessons in the right-hand side margin of this message board. Take care and I hope to read more of your story later |
