Title: Introduction Post by: Survivor5 on December 29, 2015, 06:07:29 PM Hi all,
Just introducing myself. I have a mother with BPD. I've joined this group as I am trying to find the tools to deal with her, with kindness and without anger or judgement. At the same time, I wish to set boundaries as I am tired of being made to feel worthless and unloved, or in the wrong and that I am imagining it or that I am just too sensitive. Kind Regards to you all Title: Re: Introduction Post by: Kwamina on December 29, 2015, 08:58:30 PM Hi Survivor5
Welcome to bpdfamily and thanks for this introduction Dealing with a parent with BPD can be challenging, but with the right tools it can hopefully become more manageable for you. Could you tell us a bit more about your mother? What are her traits or behaviors that you find most difficult to deal with? Do you feel like your mother acknowledges she has problems? Has she perhaps ever gotten help for her issues? Setting and enforcing/defending boundaries is indeed very important when dealing with someone with BPD. Boundaries help protect us and preserve our own well-being. Take care and I hope to read more of your story later Title: Re: Introduction Post by: maddnessreturns on January 01, 2016, 12:01:54 AM Welcome. I can relate to your situation. My BPD mother makes me feel the same. Then it is crazy making because somehow it turns to am I the one who is doing everything wrong. Learning boundaries is so important. You don't have to take everything your mother dishes out at you. Your value is not determined by others.
