Title: Newbie to group Post by: Nikita on January 19, 2016, 04:39:59 PM HI Ive been guardian to BPD 15 girl for a while. She is very resistant to any help of any kind. How can I get her join teen BPD group therapy?
We have been doing fam group therapy weekly and she sees therapist twice a month. Thank you for your time and help. Title: Re: Newbie to group Post by: Gorges on January 19, 2016, 07:34:23 PM DBT groups are what is recommended for BPD. I had my daughter do these for a year. I didn't really see her use the skills. She wasn't motivated enough to change. Our family dynamics were so ingrained and she was able to raise so much hell and didn't have a "stop" inside of her. I think DBT is wonderful, but the person has to want to change.
