I am new to the site I have a BPD son who does not know he has BPD.I am unsure whether to sit him down and tell him for fear it makes matters worse.Anybody with similar experience ? New here too and in my over-zealous aha(!) moment I asked my son if any of his therapists had talked about this and now I regret it and wished I would have kept my mouth shut. I'm sure others here can chime in, but I would say read everything you can on this site and put it to use and see where that takes you. Hope that helps!

I agree with advice above, a medical professional deliver the diagnosis to your son, they will be there to offer the road and opportunity for treatment and hopefully gain his confidence to engage in his recovery. Are you waiting for an appointment for a diagnosis? WDx |
