Title: My 21 year old daughter has BPD
Post by: Jensam4 on February 06, 2016, 11:20:57 AM
My relationship with my daughter is suffering.  She is always angry with me.  My hopes for a wonderful mother/daughter relationship are diminished.  Does it ever get better?

Hi Jensam4

Welcome to bpdfamily.

BPD is a challenging disorder but it is possible for things to get better. For this to happen it is crucial that the person acknowledges that there is a problem and fully commits to working on making things better.

Could you tell us a bit more about your daughter, has she been officially diagnosed with BPD? Is she getting treated for her issues?

Seeing your own child suffer isn't easy and I am sorry you are in this situation. Since when has your daughter been suffering and exhibiting BPD traits? What are her most concerning or difficult behaviors?

Take care

Hi jensam4,

Yes, it certainly can get better!

Does your daughter live with you?
