Title: help me out here guys Post by: Marshmellow on February 16, 2016, 06:50:52 PM my ex BPD BF just messaged me after myself and the woman he was triangulating with, found out the truth... and emailed me an apology... since she was unaware of him being a cheater.( he cheated in his marriage and ex wife divorced him... ?I think this created a huge trauma to which he hasn't recovered.

As much as he may be sincere with his words and thoughts, the question remains always the same: are you ready to accept to live in such a r/s or do you see yourself in the future free like a bird and/or in a stable r/s with a nonBPDbf? Don't let yourself being manipulated nor controlled by someone who has BPD. It never seems to end well. It's helpful at times like this to ask some pertinent questions: Do you trust him? Does he treat you with respect? Is it possible to have a stable, sustainable, monogamous relationship with him? Times like this your head and your heart may disagree, so best to listen to your head and act accordingly, your heart will protest, and as you put one foot in front of the other, one day at a time, towards your bright future, your heart will eventually agree that your head was right. So what are the answers to those questions? I think most BPDs really care (or cared) about us and they try to be sincere, but their illness make them act in unacceptable ways.
