Title: Intervention for BPD. Post by: TheCodependent1 on February 22, 2016, 11:44:41 AM I was watching the tv show Intervention the other night and realized my ex-BPD would probably have benefited from being 'intervened'. Has anyone thought of, or attempted an intervention for the BPD in their life? I know I am unable to help my

you might have also noticed from that show that interventions are very risky. an unstable person may feel cornered, persecuted; its a pretty harsh spotlight on a lot of shame. in other words, it can seriously backfire, and i dont think i would encourage it in dealing with a loved one with BPD. we have more information and discussion on the topic here: https://bpdfamily.com/message_board/index.php?topic=76633.0 |
