Title: Intervention for BPD.
Post by: TheCodependent1 on February 22, 2016, 11:44:41 AM
I was watching the tv show Intervention the other night and realized my ex-BPD would probably have benefited from being 'intervened'. Has anyone thought of, or attempted an intervention for the BPD in their life? I know I am unable to help my

ex-BPD and that hurts terribly, but I wish someone would help her before something tragic happens.

hey, thecodependent1, and welcome to the family.

you might have also noticed from that show that interventions are very risky. an unstable person may feel cornered, persecuted; its a pretty harsh spotlight on a lot of shame. in other words, it can seriously backfire, and i dont think i would encourage it in dealing with a loved one with BPD.
