Title: 3 months NC then she texts me this morning.
Post by: JerryRG on February 24, 2016, 04:49:35 PM
Hello everyone, I never thought it would happen but as so many predicted my ex found my number and text me this morning. Her brother and sister-in-law are caring for our son so maybe she got my number from them. She texts asking ",Who is this" I respond with "Who is this?". Then she says "yo momma, jk it's Jenna"

Anyway I did not respond any further because I've learned  from you that anything I say or do will corrupt my NC and my recovery from her. So I just told my sponsor and pastor and trusted friends and not do what I always used to do which was follow my own thinking. That is what got me into this whole mess in the first place.

That's what we all need to go no contact. A person to be accountable to like in a 12 step program. Someone to text us daily and say stay no contact. Or a friend we can text or call when feeling weak.

Kudos JerryRG!

It seems like the only kiss we are allowed nowadays is K.I.S.S. (Keep it simple:)) I also think that we are practising how to learn from other people's mistakes, which I think may be one of the most important lessons here - as I'm kind of stubborn and don't always follow my own boundaries. You have reminded me both of those today, so thank you!

On another note, there seems to be something at this 2-3 month stage. There have been 3 people here in the last couple of days whose NC has been violated at this stage. Interestingly I was in LC with my ex but not being recycled and it was at this stage that he decided to move to where I live. Maybe this much NC gives people a feeling that something is pretty serious this time.

Stay strong!
