Title: I know my sister better now that she's dead Post by: ropend on February 25, 2016, 01:35:35 AM I was helping clean out my dead BPD sister's storage unit today and realized she's currently more part of my life than she was while alive*.

It is sad that your sister's life turned out the way it did. She was a troubled individual yet in spite of everything still your sister. How are you holding up now that she's gone? I know from your last post that you found out after her dead that she liked a lot of the same music and movies you did. I can understand how this in a way makes you feel robbed because this was something you could have shared with her. As hard as all of this is, perhaps thinking of this hidden more joyous side of your sister can in time help you remember her in a more positive way. Have you since perhaps also learned other things about her that you weren't aware of before? You are probably not alone in those feelings on this website. I always wondered what happened to that 8 year old boy that was my brother, and I guess these BPD never mature emotionally in certain ways so can’t move on, but we do. And I guess that’s good that you can move on eventually. My best wishes and loads and loads of (manly) hugs. It sounds like you were a great brother, nothing you could have done about the BPD curse |
