Title: introduction to site
Post by: Maggiefoote on February 29, 2016, 04:58:28 PM
Hi I've just found your site I've a daughter with BPD and I don't seem to be able to get proper help for her and ourselves. She has just been told she is to receive mbt and was ok at first then found out she needs to work in a group which has freaked her out. She is becoming aggressive towards the family and has moved out of our home which is devastating to us but she seems slightly better in herself. We have had a real serious suicide attempt and when she is done she often talks about doing it again. I'm off work with stress we don't know how much longer we can go. Thanks in advance   :)

Hi maggiefoote

Welcome.

My elder son got diagnosed in sept 15 and is 25. We live in the uk.  This was while he was travelling in the USA. It didn't come as a surprise as we just knew there was something underlying to his behaviours. He's left home a few times and returned last time in mid-Dec 15. Like everybody else here on this site you'll see very similar stories, we're all daily learning and exploring better ways to communicate and live. It certainly is a roller coaster.

It's so very hard to deal with our own fears and emotions and the behaviours of our BPDs children make such a huge impact on our own well being and health. I got caught up in all the chaos for a long time but have learnt how to take a step back. I sincerely hope you find some peace of mind here. Keep reading and asking questions.

I'm learning on this site and seeing small but very positive changes. There's loads of information on the links at the top right hand side of the screen.

How old is your daughter and do you have contact with her?
