Title: Just when all is well... bam They suck you into drama Post by: Herodias on March 09, 2016, 07:51:32 PM Out of the blue after not hearing anything since Feb.2 and I ignored it then, he contacted me with some papers from the IRS by text message. I wish I had paid closer attention to what zip code was on the letter. He had his finger over the address, but not the last 2 numbers. I know he lives in a town with a different zip code, so he had to have gotten this a couple months ago. If he just opened it now, who knows. Anyway, he gets mad at me for filing our taxes jointly. I said I did not. He claimed I was in big trouble for doing it and this letter from the IRS proved I did. He said he couldn't talk to me until he talked with his sister (who is a CPA). I said I could not see my name on the letter. He sent a picture of the vouchers inside addressed to our old address. I told him that this was just a bunch of generic vouchers they send out every year and I sent him a picture of the corner of my 2015 tax form that shows I filed single and his name is not on it! I told him I have my own vouchers. I told him ask anyone he wants, but I think they will tell him the same thing- shred the vouchers. After that he left me alone. He had said, I thought we could be peaceful, I guess not... .he keeps telling me this. I realize I got sucked in as I always did in the past. I didn't get upset, I didn't get worked up, but the fact that I fell for it at all bothers me. I can't tell if he was just trying to make contact with me, see if I would respond or what? I always thought that he was really nieve' about things like this and I would always explain things to him- here I did it again! When will I ever learn? It's not my job to help him and explain things to him! Sigh... .
