New to this, but maybe you can help.  Our teen age daughter, for the second time, has gone into facility.   She's home now, but tjis time its harder. We're scared she'll say something else and end up in a place where her parents have no say.  We're  scared  of not being helpful to our daughter.

Hello ancymom,

So glad that you are reaching out for help here.  I'm so sorry to learn that your d has been in crisis.  What caused her to be put into a psych facility?  Was she making threats of harm against herself or others?

Upon release, what is the treatment plan for her going forward?  Is she or has she been in therapy?

My d, now 19, was inpatient when she was 13 at an acute care center once for suicidal threats and gestures.  It's hard to go through as a parent and at the same time I felt a sense of relief because I knew that she was safe... .even if  only temporarily.

Did your d receive her diagnoses while there?  What other diagnoses (dx) does she have if any and how old is she?

I look forward to hearing back from you!
