Title: New here. Feel hopeless & burned out Post by: Annie55101 on May 19, 2016, 01:21:51 AM I feel so alone. Over two years of emotional abuse, constant lies. I also feel like a chump for having stayed as long as i have. The constant roller coaster ride of walking on egg shells I'm going through is not something I can talk about to people. I live near Minneapolis and have gone to three different therapists for myself - none of which helped. So I came here looking to not feel so alone and ashamed
Title: Re: New here. Feel hopeless & burned out Post by: KarmasReal on May 19, 2016, 01:57:08 AM Let me be the first to welcome you. I can honestly say here you are not alone. I've been here only a short time myself but have come to see from reading and talking with Others, how similar our stories are. Regardless of any differences we have all experienced and hurt from the same thing. I was close to two years of lies, betrayal, pain, and confusion too. Many here much longer than me. We are here to help. Maybe, if you would like, sharing your relationship story with us would be a good start. I hope healing finds you soon.

*welcome* I'm sorry to hear to that therapy hasn't worked for you. I hope that you do find a therapist that synchronizes with you. A support group concurrently with therapy is a balanced mixture. We're glad that you decided to join us. As KarmasReal points out you will find many members that share similar experiences and can offer you guidance and support. I would also like to echo KarmasReal, sharing your relationship experience with us is a good place to start. Do you have kids? You're not alone. Title: Re: New here. Feel hopeless & burned out Post by: globalnomad on May 20, 2016, 11:45:59 AM Hi Annie. I also wanted to welcome you. We can all relate to that feeling of being alone in the world and walking on eggshells most of the time around our partners.
I have found posting here very therapeutic. You'll likely get some great advice too. What are you struggling with most at the moment? |
