Title: Great Past Few Days Post by: thrownforaloop on June 08, 2016, 03:44:46 PM Hey everyone!
So, after my exBPDw informed me that she had introduced my SS7 to her new boyfriend over the weekend (while I was out of town visiting family), I decided to FINALLY block her text messages. It just got to a point where, everything she says to me is hurtful and I don't want to hear any of it anymore. This also further proves that she is trying to push me away from being in SS7's life. So, if she does feel like letting me see him again, her mom can contact me (as she has been for the past month). Since blocking her texts, I no longer get anxiety when my phone buzzes. It's wonderful. She tried calling once and left a message. She was super upset because she got fired from her job and claimed she wanted to see/talk to me. I didn't call back or anything. I assume she would try to make me feel sorry for her and then ask for money, etc. Nope, nope, nope. This is her new boyfriend's problem now! I'm not happy that she got fired, nor pity her--she knows what she's doing and she makes her own choices, no matter how irresponsible they seem to me. Anyway, in total, I have her blocked on Facebook, Instagram, and text message. Feels good! I can only imagine most if not all of us remember a time in our journey when hearing a text message on our phone made us cringe. It's good to hear you are taking some steps to protect yourself on the road to recovery. Have you thought taking it a step further and blocking her in your phone all together? If you're worried about SS7, you may let her kindly know that any communication should come from her mother? Thanks :) And that is a good idea, but in my situation I'm feeling comfortable so far--she really doesn't like to call much. So until she starts abusing that, I'll leave it open, in case there is an emergency regarding SS7. But yes, the second she starts going abusing the contact method, I'll block it! |
