Title: New idea for help

What do you think of this link

I find it really interesting.

After 2 years of my dd doing DBT and she seems worse.

I wonder if it was the right thing for her.

Maybe she needs this sort of therapy, it makes sense logically to me

Wow - I like it.  It doesn't really talk about which type of therapy was utilized, unless I missed that part?

In my experience thus far, I think it's beneficial to try every route.  My DD16 has been in two residential placement facilities, in-home therapy, partial care, detention; none of which was effective.  She is now at a foster-type program which is basically another parent raising her for a short period of time where she will be getting individual therapy, evaluated for other therapies as needed, group therapy, etc. When all else fails, try something else right?  It's highly frustrating and disheartening when our attempts at getting our kids help fail.  But in the end at least we can say we tried everything.

Good luck to you and your daughter.

Yes it sounds good, but I cant see what therapy was available to do with this. I definitely think it needs looking into. There is not enough research done  on BPD.  I will try to look into it and see if anyone knows about it.

There maybe something wrong with the thing that is supposed to mature as the person matures, maybe they could start looking at that instead of just therapy.
