Title: I am proud of myself
Post by: atomic popsicles on July 06, 2016, 09:35:15 PM
Thanks to you guys, I learned about meetups. I found one about meditation and I actually went! It was very moving to me; the focus was having compassion and kindness for ourselves so we can share it with others.

I got out of the house and did it for me!

Way to go, ap.  Getting out and doing things even when we're feeling so bad about ourselves is a huge part of healing and moving forward.  I need to start doing this more.  I've been cooped up lately.  I need to get out. It'll lift my self esteem out of the gutter.  |iiii

That is wonderful AP!

“The mind can go in a thousand directions, but on this beautiful path, I walk in peace. With each step, the wind blows. With each step, a flower blooms.”
― Thich Nhat Hanh

“Meditation is a way for nourishing and blossoming the divinity within you.”
― Amit Ray

“Self-observation is the first step of inner unfolding.”
― Amit Ray,

Waking up this morning, I smile,
Twenty four brand new hours are before me.
I vow to live fully in each moment
and to look at all beings with eyes of compassion.  Thich Nhat Hanh

Holding on to anger is like grasping a hot coal with the intent of throwing it at someone else; you are the one who gets burned.
Buddha

Each morning we are born again what we do today is what matters the most." Buddha

I hope you enjoy your journey of meditation and mindfulness. So wonderful to center, take the power back and use compassion and kindness to ourselves to heal, to others to love and to be.

():) Blessings
