hi there

my wife is in denial,  a psychiatrist has identified her as BPD how do convince her to at least talk to someone?

Pull up a chair and work with us for the next six months... .in other words, it's a process.

The short answer is that linking treatment to getting something she wants is the best way. If she wants "peace in the family", better to link therapy to this (and you go to private sessions too so that it is not all about her) than "hey you're nuts, you need treatment". You wouldn't say that - I'm just making a point.  *)
