Title: Outside events affect behaviour
Post by: townhouse on August 11, 2016, 10:15:07 PM
My BPD husband has been very quiet last couple of weeks and once again almost but not quite, giving me the ST. He's been civil to me but obviously not happy,  no smiles and has had his dysreg face.

This morning I received a 'good morning' kiss and a smiling face. It turns out he bought something on EBay and PayPal somehow took out the payment 3 times and he has been fighting with them to reimburse him the twice mistake. Apparently money went back into his account last night, hence the change in mood this morning.

I had no idea. Just shows how important it is to keep our own lives and interests to the forefront because it is easy to get sucked into thinking that every dysreg is something to do with us, the Non.

Awesome reminder. I nearly always look for an outside cause first because I know I'm fairly consistent and while the behaviors might be directed at me, whatever initiated them most likely didn't.

Thanks for this post.  ":)ysreg face", how well do I know it!  I hadn't thought to put it that way before, but I knew instantly what you meant.  And yes, random stuff can happen and be triggering for our loved ones, and it's not always about us.  And people with BPD have the same rights as anybody else, to keep what's bothering them to themselves.  So "dysreg face" can come and go, without us ever really knowing what it was about.
