Title: My BPD friend (age 23, almost 24) is pretty low functioning

My BPD friend (age 23, almost 24) is pretty low functioning, with some high functioning traits mixed in.

She has a college degree and a teaching certificate, but she's been working at a convenience store for a year now.  She's been promoted a few times and seems to get along with her co-workers, but I think that kind of job is really all she can handle.  I taught with her for a year, and she had so many emotional breakdowns.  I think the schedule was too rigid (at her current job, she bounces back and forth between the three shifts, with no set schedule), the workload too much, and the co-workers too mature and responsible.

Other than that, she's pretty low functioning: lots of sexual partners, reckless driving, impulsive spending, suicide attempts, poor eating habits, inability to pay bills/save money, etc.
