Title: Divorced from a Borderline.
Post by: Moselle on November 04, 2016, 03:51:04 AM
Finally. Today. I'm divorced from her after almost 3 years. She was an abusive nightmare.

But she is gone from my life . Officially my ex!

Congratulations. I have a similar situation of 3 1/2 miserable tormented years mixed in with some love making and fun to keep it going. I hope to be fully divorced in 4-5 months. What a sense of freedom and hope.

Hi Moselle,

Divorces are tough but they can be particularly hellish when there's a PD involved.

I realise that you've had to deal with an awful lot.

Well done for navigating your way through all the chaos and coming out the other side.

I wish the all the luck and happiness in the future

Thanks Reforming.

It has been chaos, and it has been a long road. But I do feel free to live my life. She is not my problem any more. Today I gave her problems back to her.

Good for you. When I read your story I was struck by how hard you tried to make things work. Very brave and admirable. I'm sorry that you didn't get a better outcome but I think you should be proud of the love and commitment you gave to her and your family.

How are you holding up? I can imagine that reaching this resolution like this might feel liberating and overwhelming at the same time

Thank you. It means alot. I am starting again, and I'm energised by the challenge.

Yes I gave it everything I had - thanks for reminding me. That fact makes me feel better. Yes I did give her love and commitment. I have learned a few things about who to commit to in the future

I felt pretty good all weekend actually. I've realised that not much has changed.  I still have a mountain to climb. This week is busy, so I'm hoping it will help.

Hi Moselle,

Congrats!

Thanks Mutt :)

Congratulations Moselle, it sounds like being able to officially call her your "ex" feels really good, long time coming, and off to an amazing future!

It does feel good actually. The sad thing is that we were pretty good for ten years. The last five were hellish however, so its good to see the back of her.

I'm alive and not in jail! There is a God. I came close on both counts!

Now its time for the greatest revenge of all - Living a great life  :)

Congratulations, good for you! I know you may still have some mental mending to do, but this is a big step moving forward... .It feels good to be untangled from them for sure... .

Thanks Herodias. I am well on that path to health, with some way to go, but with enough progress to be excited about my life

Great news Moselle.

Keep focusing on you!

Lovenature, that's one of the hardest things for me, but I am getting better at it. Thanks for the reminder!

Such a blessing to be able to move on.

It is a blessing. "It's my life"  :)
