Title: does the BPD have any clue of what they say? Post by: bus boy on November 05, 2016, 06:40:46 PM My BPD xw took pleasure in hurting me. She was always saying mean things about my family. One of the many things she said was that my family was drunks. Xw was always saying my mother and sister were drunks, they are not even anywhere near to being drunks. I started agreeing with xw just to keep the peace so than when xw would start on my family being drunks, xw would say you said so your self. How they can twist words. So now, xw's boyfriend isn't afraid of the drink, and it's no secret in the community that his family is big drinkers and the father is a bad drunk so xw said my family were drunks and are not, her bf comes from bad drinkers so I wonder if xw ram rod's her bf's family to him about.

I'm sorry that you had go through that. I'd find it difficult too taking your partner's side when their perspective of your family is biased. Think back to the beginning of the r/s, what were her thoughts like about you and your family? Title: Re: does the BPD have any clue of what they say? Post by: StayStrongNow on November 05, 2016, 08:40:32 PM To answer the original question, the ustbxBPDw would have a different voice when she split me black, used projections, and or went into her rages. When I played back a phone call of her to let her listen to her own alter personality, she didn't even recognize her own voice.
I don't think they realize what they say or remember anything when the pwBPD is being a pwBPD. Title: Re: does the BPD have any clue of what they say? Post by: Renard on November 05, 2016, 09:46:06 PM StayStrongNow,
I am pretty much the same boat: a completely different person ended things with me--different voice, and completely alien thought processes--paranoid, persecuted, splitting me black (as you say), and even asking me to help her choose the right thing to do with whom she was splitting white. There are some conversations I wish I could forget, but that one and the terminating phone calls and texts that followed are haunting me. Title: Re: does the BPD have any clue of what they say? Post by: bus boy on November 05, 2016, 09:47:57 PM Hi JRG, well put. They are all of that indeed.
Hi Mutt, things were pretty good for the first year but went down hill fast after we moved in together, crashed and burned after we got married. Her constant put down of my family and her verbal and emotional abuse of me was unbearable. Hi StayStrongNow, xw seems to be in a total state of denial when ever I brought up her abuse, like she truly believes it never happened, I'm making it all up. She asked me if I had written times, dates when her abuse happened, I said no, her reply was, than it never happened. When she left, like started keeping a journal but she still denied any abuse ever took place. She truly believes no abuse of any kind ever took place. Do they know/realize what they say? I do not think so. Completely lost their sense of irony. |
