Title: Semi normal makes you think it's normal
Post by: NewStart on November 08, 2016, 09:35:49 PM
So I get home from work and she's got neighbors over for election watch and everything seems normal... .except for the fact that nobody knows what really goes on... .making this process that much harder... .except for how I see her play the crowd... .crazy how a house load of people could make you feel completely empty at the end of the night... .the over fawning on other people's husbands the downplay of everything I say... .the game continues.

Hey NS, Just because she can put up a good front with your neighbors doesn't mean that things are OK in your r/s.  My BPDxW is a gregarious person who was known as the unofficial mayor of our small town.  Little did people know what the "mayor" was really like behind closed doors!  It doesn't matter how many times she tells you that the sky is green; you still know that it is blue, OK?

If i tried to convince my wife's co-workers she had BPD I would face an EXTREMELY difficult battle. High functioning BPD is masked very well. Which often makes it near impossible to get diagnosed - because we are the only people who see it. And it's why we think we are going crazy... .

Remember she is ill. What she does is not "deliberate".
