Title: How does the need for Narcissistic Supply fit into the persons inner thoughts?
Post by: 5min on November 09, 2016, 08:31:37 AM
I am asking this because I see a cycle where I get reamed by my uBPDw between every day and every 3 days. I see a cycle with her father who I believe has uBPD. He has unconsciously determined that he can get the same narcissistic supply high from retelling stories about telling people off. So how does this need fit in with the fear of abandonment? Is this their version of self soothing?

Ugh... .I certainly hope not. She grew up with this behaviour from her "loving" Father?

No wonder reaming is a necessary and regular procedure for you.

Telling people off... .is rarely ever necessary. Reliving it? Maybe he is looking for validation because at his core he "knows" something is OFF with his behaviour.

With regard to abandonment. If BPD suspect this, and then believe that might happen... .then they like to get in first.

Feel for you, mate.
