Title: Meet my lawyer in the morning Post by: JerryRG on November 10, 2016, 08:38:49 PM Meet my lawyer tomorrow morning at 10
Have to tell him about my son's mother's behaviours over the past several weeks. How she snuck up and grabbed him off my lap one night, and how she ran into our son and me and didn't say a word. She's still no contact with me, her family and blocked all them from social media. I've had my son full time for over 2 months. I hope she stays away, I hope I get full custody and I hope she gets help before she loses everything. I don't know why she left our son or what she's thinking, I never will understand her. It will be helpful for your lawyer to know what's been happening but no court will force a parent to be a parent, well, except to pay child support if ordered. Even her being a no show may not mean to the professionals as much it means to you. In that respect court can be very forgiving and accepting of a wide range of excuses why she didn't show up for parenting exchanges. However, you need to be sure that the court knows you weren't blocking proper visits. If she continues this pattern of staying in the background, they'll let her do that without too much judging. For you, it builds you a stronger history of stable and majority parenting, and that's good for you. Title: Re: Meet my lawyer in the morning Post by: JerryRG on November 11, 2016, 05:19:13 PM She's basically gone no contact with our son, I don't even have a way to contact her if our son were injured, except to call the police to go to her home and tell her.
I've had him in my care full time for going on 3 months, she's collecting child support for our son and not paying any bills or buying his food, diapers or day care. Her excuse in the past was she was too sick to care for our son, the day she took him from my lap she told me and his aunt she just got done working out. I'm sorry but I don't agree with you on this one, she's abandoned our son and last time she seen him which was 2 weeks ago she didn't even say hello and walked away. I'm not sure what her excuses would be but I and no one else trust her or believe a word she says. |
