Title: BPDs and Weird Beliefs
Post by: tammym1972 on November 26, 2016, 01:45:47 AM
Did any of your exes with BPD have strange ideas? Mine literally believed in every conspiracy theory out there. He was also always preparing for the end of the world by stockpiling weapons and food. He wanted to attach a green house to the kitchen and live completely off the grid. He was also kind of paranoid thinking people were watching the house and had security cameras installed. Anybody have exes with similar beliefs?

My ex never said anything to me about conspiracy theories or similar views. In fact, I would say she had a pretty grounded view of the world at that level, and she wasn't particularly interested in politics or world affairs in any case.

What makes you ask? Did his views on conspiracy theories feed into any of his behaviour in the relationship?

Has a small fascination/belief that the end was nigh... .or atleast some sort of catastrophic event would engulf the world. She was prepared with provisions.

Good topic folks and relate completely to the BPD having weird thoughts/theories.  There were times when she would say stuff just to try to create conflict.

Tammym the BPD in my life also  loved a conspiracy theory.  9/11 was the work of the US goverment / the moon landings never happened etc.

She would also start to make racist comments about all manner of topics (ie would never sleep in a bed where a black person had been).  I'm passionality opposed to any form of racism which she knew and so comments like that which i dont think she even believed where just means of trying to get under my skin.

She also  developed a real hatred for all things British (i'm a Brit myself).  She used to tell me how she always wanted to live in Britain and have beautiful little British babies but as soon as she split me she developed the theory that all Brits are wicked people.  Ive seen from some of the stuff she has posted on imgur over the last few months constant attacks against anything related to Britain (she actually posted that " all Brits have erectile dysfunction and are sociopaths".
When I was applying for her VISA to move to the UK following our marriage she also joined a UK/US visa forum.  She was banned from the forum within weeks as she used it as a platform to attack her useless husband (me) and complain about how much she hated the thought of being in Britain.

One of the funniest theories she had was that the priest we went to see for marriage guidance was homosexual and that he had his eyes on me and wanted to have sex with me.  The reason the priest was deemed by the BPD to be homosexual was that he challenged her behaviour towards me and called her out on the things she was doing.
