Title: Fake Facebook/Fake Phone Numbers Post by: sweet tooth on November 27, 2016, 12:46:41 PM I made a post the other day about how I was contacted through a fake FB profile. Initially I wasn't going to engage, then I said to myself "This might be fun."
I wasn't sure if it was spam or her at first. I listed girvances. The person never denied any of them. They never said, "I'm not *ex's name.*" The person even went so far to say that they loved me. Then I brought up how she spoofed phone numbers to call me. All of a sudden the person changed their tune. "I never called you. I'm not *ex's name.* I'm Lisa Bell." Lo and behold, a half hour later I got a phone call from another spoofed number. You can't make this stuff up. Has anyone else dealt with nonsense like this? How did you cope? Title: Re: Fake Facebook/Fake Phone Numbers Post by: fromheeltoheal on November 27, 2016, 01:58:15 PM How did you cope? One way to cope is to use it as another learning experience. You went into it thinking "this might be fun" sweet tooth, and now that you've done it, was it fun? And was that the only reason you did it, because it might be fun, or was it more? Title: Re: Fake Facebook/Fake Phone Numbers Post by: sweet tooth on November 27, 2016, 02:03:24 PM It was a little fun. More frustrating than anything, though. I also wanted proof beyond all doubt that it is she who has been bothering me. I think I've come to the conclusion that this person will never completely leave me alone. I also don't have enough physical evidence to bring the matter to the attention of the law which frustrates me.
